Oneiro
Work that happens while you sleep
Oneiro, from the Greek for dream, is my Mac and iPhone app for the goals you keep putting off. Tell it what you want to make happen, and its agents work on it overnight so you wake up to drafted replies, calendar blocks, and research ready to approve.

Notes
- What it is
- Oneiro (from the Greek ὄνειρος, dream) is my Mac and iPhone app for the goals you keep putting off. Press Option-Space on your Mac or open Capture on your iPhone to jot down a rough idea; Oneiro shapes it into a pursuit you can check, sends agents to work on it overnight, and leaves prepared drafts and schedule blocks waiting in the morning.
- Where it stands
- The codebase spans 108,000 lines of Swift with 1,101 passing tests. The Mac build (0.5.0) runs dev-signed on my Mac; the iPhone companion reached TestFlight (builds 25–27, October 1, 2026) with the earlier sun-centred orrery, before the black-hole galaxy was built. The overnight loop ran on my Mac in July 2026 and isn’t proven nightly yet; the engine behind it ran from mid-September to early October 2026 and is off now.
- My role
- I designed the product and architecture, directed AI coding agents across parallel git worktree lanes, and reviewed and integrated their code against a 1,101-test suite.
- Built with
- SwiftUI and AppKit. The galaxy is SceneKit on Metal, with ten shader modifiers compiled at runtime and no image assets.
- Credits
- The overnight loop is modelled on Sentient OS. The iPhone app began as a fork of OpenClaw’s iOS app, and agents run as OpenClaw gateway sessions; OpenClaw is an open-source project built by other people.
- On this page
- Everything is sample data. The pursuits are the app’s own test fixtures; the shaped pursuit, the night and the morning card are written in advance, and nothing you press leaves the page. The galaxy is a WebGL2 port of the app’s shaders. The dawn light that crosses the planet is this page’s: the app lights its galaxy from the black hole alone.
